Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
